What a Complete IRP Renewal Review Covers

Hitting the deadline is only half of a clean renewal. We review every unit so your renewal reflects how the fleet actually operated — and removes cost that shouldn’t be there.

Quality mileage by unit

We verify clean, jurisdiction-level mileage for every unit so apportioned fees are accurate, not estimated or over-reported.

Right-size IRP enrollment

We flag units that no longer run interstate to move to base plates, and catch units that should be on the IRP account, cutting cost and closing compliance gaps.

Place-of-business validity

We confirm your established place-of-business requirements still hold so your base jurisdiction cannot be challenged at renewal.

FAQs

Find answers to your questions about our services and how we can help you.

Haven’t found what you need?

When should a large fleet start its IRP renewal?

Most base states recommend 60-90 days before the renewal date. For large fleets, we start 90-120 days out to verify mileage by unit, reconcile the roster, and resolve any documentation before the deadline.

What happens if we miss an IRP renewal deadline?

Your vehicles are operating without valid registration in every IRP jurisdiction at once, exposing the fleet to out-of-service orders, fines, and downtime that usually cost far more than the renewal itself, plus base-state late fees.

We have multiple IRP accounts across different DOT numbers. Can you help?

Yes. Carriers often accumulate separate IRP accounts as they grow or acquire. We evaluate whether consolidating them lowers cost and administrative overhead, then manage the transition and every renewal under one strategy.

Do you work with our telematics or ELD data?

Yes. We pull distance data directly from most major telematics providers, or from your trip and fuel records, to build accurate mileage by jurisdiction for every unit.

How is this different from just using the state renewal portal?

The portal is only where you submit. The hard part, compiling accurate mileage, reconciling the roster, and calculating fees for every jurisdiction, happens before the portal, and that is where errors and missed deadlines occur. We own that work.
